Sugar Showdown – October (Birthday party of FBP)

The inaugural Sugar Showdown, held on October 23, 2010 at Thalian Hall and hosted by Sandy Vaughn and Cullen Moss from Changing Channels, raised funds for The Full Belly Project in our 8th year of service. Guests at the event sampled sugary sweets from local vendors and voted for their favorite in six different categories.

Sugar Showdown attendees supported The Full Belly Project and chose favorite treats from local dessert vendors in true western showdown style. Participating vendors dressed for the occasion and showcased their sugary sweets. They included: Imaginary Friends Bakery, La Gemma Fine Italian Pasteries, The Scoop, McNally’s Fudge, Nye’s Cream Sandwiches, Big Sugar Waffles, Good Cookies, Half Baked Confections, Luna Pops, and Café Liardi.

The Full Belly Project is thankful for participation from local vendors and guests.  The organization is much obliged for the support of all.  We celebrated our 8th birthday in good company with plenty of desserts to go around.  We hope to see ya’ll again next year.
