Steve Miller received a Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry from Georgetown University. Since then, he has spent time as an analyst at the EPA, consulted in environmental and technology business development arenas, co-founded two technology companies, and held significant managerial positions with Fortune 200 companies. Mr. Miller grew up in the NYC area, but spent most of his adult life in the DC area before moving to Wilmington in 2014. In Wilmington, Mr. Miller has served in an advisory capacity with non profits, is a volunteer mentor at UNCW's Cameron School of Business, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Full Belly Project since 2016.
Lauren Locke works as an education abroad advisor at UNCW. After earning a Masters Degree specializing in international sustainable development, Lauren spent time living and working in San Francisco, India, Malawi, South Africa and the Czech Republic. She returned to Wilmington in 2016 and wanted to contribute to the “glocal” community. FBP felt like the perfect fit, combing her passions for poverty alleviation and global education! In her spare time Lauren is constantly learning, playing banjo, surfing, practicing yoga or Ultimate Frisbee. You are likely to find her bopping to live bluegrass downtown or soaking in the Wrightsville sunshine.
Tori is president of Clove Marketing, a full-service marketing agency. She holds an MBA from the University of Georgia and a BS in Marketing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. In addition to her agency work, she has served as an instructor at UNC Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business.

Tori is currently serving as President of Thalian Association Community Theatre and member of the New Hanover Parks Conservancy Board and Wilmington West Rotary.
MK COPE (chair)
Having lived and worked internationally for many years, MK is committed to working with individuals and organizations to develop capacity for local sustainability, both here and abroad. Previous to moving to Wilmington, MK served as the Vice President/Africa for the International Executive Service Corps (IESC), an international not-for-profit organization that applies apply private sector solutions around the world to improve standards of living, create and preserve jobs, and help enterprises grow. She continues her work as a consultant in economic development/information management, primarily for organizations doing work in Sub Saharan Africa. She believes strongly in building local communities together.
