Local high school club changing lives in Africa

"WILMINGTON -- Every Wednesday after school, students from Hoggard High School’s BETA club volunteer at the Full Belly Project to build irrigation devices for farmers in Africa.

Swahili Coast, a local business in the Cotton Exchange, will host a fundraiser to cover the cost of shipping so that these life-changing machines can get to those that need them most, and these teenagers’ dreams of improving their world can come true."
